And they danced the night away: Dancing With the Stars pros Emma Slater and Sasha Farber have tied the knot!
According to Entertainment Tonight, the talented couple made their trip (dancing?) down the aisle on Sunday, March 25, at Bella Blanca in Los Angeles, California-and their guest list was any DWTS fan's dream. A handful of DWTS alum were in attendance as the two walked down the aisle, including costars Julianne Hough and her husband Brooks Laich, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, Cheryl Burke, Sharna Burgess, and Keo Motsepe and his girlfriend.
The newlyweds celebrated their nuptials in a romantic ceremony that included the bride wearing two gorgeous Rivini gowns and plenty of enviable social media posts. A few hours before tying the knot, Farber shared a video of himself singing along to Ed Sheeran's "Perfect"-which perfectly fit the occasion, considering it was the couple's first dance song later that day. Us Weekly reported that Sheeran even left a recorded message of congratulations for the newlyweds.
"As Emma walked down the aisle, instantly locking eyes with Sasha, it was as if time stood still,” wedding planner Michael Russo told Us Weekly. “Their moving vows had moments of both humor and heartfelt emotion, which made the ceremony a truly special and magical thing to behold. I couldn't be more proud to have been a witness to this celebration of pure, unconditional love.”
Farber popped the question to Slater in October 2016 during a live recording of DWTS. The two hit the dance floor to perform a contemporary dance routine, and as soon as the couple stuck their landing, Farber got down on one knee to propose. Slater said yes, and the two celebrated after the show with drinks with their fellow costars and the show's producers.
"It feels amazing that we got to share that with all our friends. I totally forgot that it was also live on TV," Slater said at the time of her proposal. "It's brilliant to get engaged and then be able to turn around and have your friends there with you watching it happen!"
Last week, the bride revealed to Us Weekly that she had been checking out some potential dresses at Kinsley James Couture Bridal in Los Angeles, and gave the publication a little taste of what she would wear down the aisle. “I think every girl dreams about their wedding dress since they're a little girl,” Slater said. “I've got Pinterest boards full of wedding ideas. I still don't know what I want! I like enchanted, I would love sleeves.”
Her twin sister and maid of honor, Kelly, chimed in and added, “If I was to pick for you, I would say lace, not too of big a skirt and maybe a fabric like satin or a chiffon. White-white.”
Looks like this maid of honor was right on target!
